What's the price range for Perth catering?
Catering prices vary greatly depending on where you're ordering from and what meal you're serving. Here's a rough guide on what you can expect prices on catering menus to work out to per person.
Morning or afternoon tea should cost roughly $10-$15 per person, on the higher end if you're serving any warmer items and on the lower end for the more basic fruit and pastry-style service.
Lunch catering tends to cost a bit more as it's a full meal, so we'd recommend setting a budget of $15-$20 per person. You can get more basic catering, like sandwich platters, salads or pizza in the $10-$15 range, but if you'd like any specialty cuisines like Thai, Sushi or Indian, expect it to be a bit pricier.
Grazing platters and finger foods can cost you as low as $10-$15, depending on the quality of meats and cheeses you'd like to serve - they can get pricy!
Can catering be delivered anywhere in Perth?
Yes! If you’re having your meal or corporate event outside of the office, as long as you’re still in the Perth area you’ll be able to get the order delivered to your venue of choice.
What gluten-free finger foods can you get?
Lots of finger foods seem to be fried or breaded, but not all of them! A few recommendations we'd make for the gluten-free crowd include:
- Grazing platters paired with gluten-free crackers
- Grilled meat skewers
- Mini rice paper rolls
- Corn chips with guacamole
What vegan and vegetarian finger food items can I get?
There's plenty of meat-free and plant-based finger foods our there.
Some of our favourites for vegetarians include:
- Cheese and spinach triangles
- Arancini
- Caprese skewers
And some of our top picks for vegans include:
- Samosas
- Fruit skewers
- Veggies and dips
- Vegetable tempura
How many finger food items should you serve per person?
We recommend different amounts depending on the length of your event:
- 30-minute event: 3 pieces of finger food per person
- 1-hour event: 6 pieces of finger food per person
- 2-hour event: 9 pieces of finger food per person
For events that are three hours or more, we'd also recommend having a more substantial option as well, or to have a grazing station where guests can grab more nibbles as needed.
Finger food catering isn't usually intended to be a filling meal, but you also don't want anyone leaving hungry.
