Sustaiable Supply Chain at

Why a sustainable supply chain matters?

Traditional delivery methods, auch as using cars and trucks, contribute significantly to air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and traffic congestion. Furthermore, the non-local ingredients in delivery services contributes to higher emissions from long-distance transportation. Discover how EatFirst is implementing new methods for more sustainable delivery.

1

Reduction in greenhouse gases

Implementing sustainable practices reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and conserves natural resources, thereby mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.

2

Resource efficiency

Sustainable supply chains optimize the use of raw materials, energy, and water, leading to more efficient operations and less environmental degradation.

3

Community support

Sustainable supply chains often engage with and support local communities, contributing to their economic development and social well-being.

What can we do?

Local Ingredients

You can rest assured knowing that everything is sourced from local and vetted Australian businesses, including Indigenous suppliers and social enterprises!

Sustainability Rating

We encourage best-practice by rating our suppliers' sustainability measures on a number of important criteria, and showcasing this to our customers.

A meal for a meal

For every meal you order, EatFirst donates another to a child in need. Together with the Akshaya Patra Foundation, we continue to have a positive impact on vulnerable children.

Delivery Root Optimisation

We collect detailed order info, like delivery addresses and timing, to optimize routes. We consider traffic and delivery windows to cut travel time, lower costs, and ensure timely, high-quality service.
